しばらく進むと、「巨人が残した予言の石碑」がありました。
巨人が残した足跡に、石碑が置かれています。
「王国には、その昔巨人が住んでいたそうよ。
王国の大地を耕し、未来を
予言する事ができたそうなの。
でも、ある日、最後の預言を残し、
どこかに旅立ってしまったという言い伝えがあるの」
石碑にはこう書かれています。
「汝が妖精に会うに
ふさわしいかを問う
石碑の目に向かい《1ケタ》の
数字を強く強く思い浮かべよ」
そして、それぞれの石碑に従い数字を練成させよ。
我が予言と一致するものに第三のカギを示す」
ペッカー達は、数字を思い浮かべ、
石碑の通り次々と数字を練成していきました。

- ●「その数字に1を足せ」
- ●「２倍せよ」
- ●「６を足せ」
- ●「２つに分けよ」
- ●「汝が最初に思い浮かべた数字を引け」
最後の石碑に辿り着きました。
「練成は完成した。汝は我が予言したものなり、
振り返り屋根に残した紋章が第三のカギ」
ペッカー達が振り返ると、トロピカル王国の屋根に
「？」という文字と三角のしるしがありました。

ペッカー達が練成した数字も「？」だったのです。
「巨人は、僕らが来るのを予言していたんだ！」
ペッカー達は、第三のカギを手に入れました。
After a while, they came to the Monument with the Giant’s Prophecy.
There were stone monuments erected by the large footsteps left behind by the Giant.
Little Fairy said, “Long ago, it is said that a Giant lived in the Kingdom. The Giant cultivated the land of the Kingdom, and was also able to predict the future. But one day, the legend says that the Giant gave his final prophecy and embarked on a journey somewhere.”
On a monument were these words: To see if thou art befitting to meet with the Fairy, follow these instructions. Face the eye of the stone monument and think of a one-digit number. Focus and imagine this number in your mind, earnestly.
Then, follow the directions given on each of the stone monuments and complete the figure.
I will show the third sign only to those whose complete figure matches my prophecy.
After reading this, Pecker and his friends thought of a number and followed the instructions written on each of the monuments and worked out their figure.
The instructions said: Add 4 to thy number; multiply it by 2; subtract 6; divide it by 2; And finally, subtract from this figure, the same number you initially pictured in your mind.
Pecker and his pals reached the final monument.
It said, “The figure has been completed. Thou art the one that I predicted.
Turn around and look at the emblem I have left on the roof. That is the third sign.”
Pecker and his friends turned around. On top of a roof in Tropical Kingdom was, the number 1, and also a triangular marking.
One was also the same number that Pecker and his friends had completed. Randy said, “The Giant had predicted that we would come!”
This is how Pecker and his friends found their third sign.
